10 Years

Hard to believe it's already been 10 years, and I'm sure the next 10 will go faster. We were able to celebrate our anniversary a little early with a trip to the beautiful Northern California coast. A HUGE thank you to Jeff's parents for watching the kids. We had a wonderful time.

So Sad To Say Goodbye

We had a wonderful trip with Grandma & Grandpa Christensen from Alaska. It was so hard to say goodbye. They are sorely missed. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Utah Fun

We're back from a great trip to Utah to visit family & friends. Thanks to all for the great time we had. This is the only picture we got together as a family....why is that? We need to take more pictures together as a family..... This will have to double as our Easter family photo, as I spent Easter in our bathroom due to bad food I ate in Nevada during our drive home on Saturday. Note to all: Don't eat food in a town that thinks painting a huge "BM" on the front of the mountain and calling themselves the "armpit of america" is a good idea.

Getting Crafty

Last fall, the very talented Stephanie Lewis displayed her beautiful November advent calendar at an enrichment, and I decided right there I was going to make one. It was gorgeous, and had so much detail. I finished it up this week, and can't wait for November to come so I can use it. A huge thanks to Stephanie for helping (and Janay and Ginnie :).

Each pocket has so much detail. Just about all of the sewing is done on the machine = takes a very long time! We own one of those huge 20+ people LoveSac bean bags. Ok - it's not big enough for 20 people, but it's huge. The problem is, it doesn't fit very well in our house anymore... so this week I have been making smaller bean bags for the kids. I made this one out of Jeff's old jeans, but will stick to fabric next time - it was too bulky to sew. I plan on making lots more, they are so quick, you can easily make one, and the liner in a day.
