Organization

Here is a picture of my paper/crayon/pen cupboard - no matter how many times I organize it, my little people get in there searching for the specific crayon or pen they want, and within days, it ends up looking like this. Very frustrating. It's one of those cupboards you end up throwing something into, and quickly slamming the door before anything can slip back out.

The red paint actually fell out onto the floor as I opened it up - practically asking me to organize the cupboard, again.

I ended up trying something new, since the old way wasn't working. I put a tool belt over a 5-gallon bucket. There are lots of little pockets for pens, crayons, tape, glue, and all of the paper and big things go inside the bucket. It's perfect! Besides the fact that I don't have a clue where to store it, so it's sitting in the middle of the floor, but it's worth the satisfaction I feel from being slightly more organized.

What a great idea! I think I will try that for the kids' playroom for all their pens, scissors, glue sticks, etc. Right now, we just open up one of the desk drawers and just slide everything in!

I agree! Such a great idea! Hopefully it will make it fun for the kids to put things away!
