2-Wheelin' and Walking

We have been teaching Missy to ride a 2 wheeler. For those that have been through this delightful process, you know how frustrating and exhausting it can be. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!! Jeff and I have to take turns holding on to the back of her bike and running along side her because it is so tiring!

Baby Belly started walking yesterday! She is our only one that has walked before 1 year old. We know when she is walking because we can hear her start giggling and shrieking. Missy and Little Dude are extremely proud of their little sister, and can't wait to tell everyone the exciting news.

All I can say is to keep at it. They'll eventually catch on. It really doesn't take that long once they figure it out. I know the last thing you want to do is to get them going fast, but speed helps with balance. The faster they go, the better they do. Slow just makes them fall. You ran a marathon, you can keep up! Don't hold onto the handle bar, just the seat, and push pretty hard. They'll freak a bit, but tell them to just pedal, pedal pedal. Once the balance takes over just run next to her and tell her when she wants to stop to put her feet down slowly. My girls were riding within a day. It's all about guts baby!

We taught the kids on my parents driveway. They could keep going once they got going since there were no cars coming or anything. Want to come up again?
