Day at the Lake

We were finally able to take our boat out on Saturday with the Nunleys, Boucks, and Campbells who bought the "day at the lake" from the YM/YW Camp Fundraiser last March. The Bouwhuis family brought their jet skis too. We had so much fun that we wish we could go out every weekend on the boat.
Missy and her friend Mykel were practically on the boat the ENTIRE time. The only reason they got off, was to go on the jet skis. They had so much fun holding hands and screaming at the top of their lungs.

Little Dude actually enjoyed (for the most part) being on the boat and going fast. In the past, he has NOT liked it. Missy tried tubing this year, but falling off and getting water in your face and up your nose wasn't a big hit with her.

Jeff was able to break away from driving the boat and do some wakeboarding.

And as I am slowly getting over my fear of open water, I decided to try wakeboarding. I have never wakeboarded or skied or anything, but after a few minutes, I was able to do things like this...

Ahhh, I wish. (I know you are all amazed by my mad photo shop skills. ) Unfortunately, this was about the most I got out of the water.

After about 5 tries, I decided to give it a rest, but am now DYING to go out again, determined to get up. I told Jeff, that next trip, even though the kids have a blast playing, I want to go on an adult only trip - are there any takers?
