(Missy insists on taking her purse everywhere with her these days. It is SOOOOO heavy as it is filled almost entirely with pocket change, mostly pennies. )

Emergency Preparedness Fair
Our stake has started having an Emergency Preparedness Fair yearly, which is such a great idea. There are lots of people and organizations that come to share helpful information about being prepared for an emergency. This year the kids LOVED the fair as a fire engine, police car & motorcycle, and even a CHP helicopter were there. They didn't want to leave, which was a nice change (learning about wheat grinders, transmitter radios, and solar ovens I was told was "exhausting and bored" (little dude still mixes up his tense endings :)). I forgot my camera, but took a few shots from my phone.

I bet my boys would have loved it! Instead, we were at my Grandma's surprise 90th birthday party ... don't know how many more of those she will have, so we thought we should go! Sounds like such a fun time.
