We love it when Grandma & Grandpa Christensen come to visit for 2 reasons. 1) We love spending time with them, and 2) because Grandpa Christensen is an amazing handyman! He can do just about anything. Every time he comes, he helps Jeff do something around our house. He has helped form a patio in the backyard, build shelves in the garage, tile our bathroom floor, put up shelves in the master closet, wire rooms for ceiling fans, and much more. And this time was no different. I now have a wonderful storage room under our stairs.
First, a hole was cut.
Then a much bigger hole.
Then wires were moved, door frame was installed, drywall was put up, and lastly texture and painting. To make him even more amazing, Grandpa Christensen did most of the work himself while he and Grandma were watching our kids as we were away!
A huge thank you to Grandpa Christensen for all of his help! I told him next time he comes, I'd like him to figure out a way for us to have a 3 car garage - haha! :)

Okay, or maybe some other things too.
My parents had the same thing and it came in SOOO handy! That is seriously fun! And if he can figure out that three car garage, I'll hire him to build me an upstairs:)

Wow! He reminds me of my dad ... I think people from that generation seriously know how to do EVERYTHING! I think if we asked them to build an airplane, they could do it, too. Congrats on the new storage space/hiding spot!
Gotta love handy men! They come in handy for EVERYTHING! I wish we had more storage space too! I swear, everytime you find 'more' space, it get's filled to the top & you're looking for MORE space!
