President Monson's Birthday FHE

Since President Monson's birthday is this month, we decided that he would be the topic of our FHE on Monday. It was such a fun thing, and was super easy. Here's what we did:

1) For his birthday, he asked others to,
"Do something for someone else
on that day to make his life better.
Find someone who is having a hard time or is ill or lonely,
and do something for them. That's all I would ask".
So as a family we decided on something we could to for another family this week.

2) We played President Monson Bingo, found here. We learned a lot of neat facts about President Monson. I'm still chuckling over learning President Monson gave 2 of his prized rabbits to a friend so they could have more than hot cereal for Christmas dinner. It's a very thoughtful gesture, but just gave me the giggles. It almost ruined the game for Callie when that one came up, she was disgusted :)

3) decorate cupcakes ( we ended up decorating sugar cookies).

Super easy, and really neat to learn about our current Prophet as General Conference is quickly approaching.
