Another thing we did during our family reunion, was go to Old Sacramento. Instead of driving there, we took the Light Rail (you can meet some strange characters on public transportation). The kids thought it was awesome that there weren't any seat belts. We walked around the shops, went to the train museum, had lunch at Carl's Jr., and ate peanut brittle and salt water taffy. Ever since I was a little girl, every time we would go to Old Sacramento, my dad would buy peanut brittle - I love walking into the candy store and smelling it - it's a fun memory.
