Six Flags Again!

We went to Six Flags a few weeks ago, but were able to go again with my family as part of our family reunion. We had fun going on rides and seeing the shows. I was able to go on lots of roller-coasters which 1) was really fun and 2) reminded me I'm getting old because I can't ride them back to back like I used to be able to. I went on Kong and Medusa in about a 15 minute time frame, and kept telling my self during the ride, "this is fun, don't throw up". Luckily, we ran into the Nuttalls there, who had some dramamine, which made me feel better. Thank you Nuttalls!

Hayden has been wanting all summer to play one of those games where you pay like $10 to win a $2 stuff animal if you're lucky. I haven't let him play one because I knew it was just throwing money away, and he couldn't really grasp the concept that he might not win. So, when I saw one at Six Flags, that everybody was a winner, he finally got to play a game. He has been one happy camper ever since.

Callie really wanted to ride all of the "big kid" roller coasters her cousins were going on, but wasn't tall enough for most of them. We found one that she could go on, which quite frankly looked like the worst one to me. Tony Hawks Big Spin - you sit in a little cart that spins ( think Teacups at Disneyland) while you ride the rollercoaster (now think throw-up in your lap). I knew I wasn't capable of going on the ride, so Jeff luckily downed some dramamine and rode it like a champ. She said the ride was her favorite thing about the whole day (even though she said it made her feel a little sick to her tummy). :)
